Insurance
Université Côte d'Azur will be responsible for student insurance in a full cover package. The student is obliged to accept the necessary insurance related to the activities for the full duration of the study period. The insurance “package” that will be provided to all students will ensure protection for:
- risks such as medical costs (hospitalization, dental, maternity, mental disease, rehabilitation care…), accident, death, permanent disability, personal liability, assistance / repatriation, luggage (delay, loss, damage or theft), delayed aircraft…
- worldwide travel required for the participation in the MemBioMed programme
- mobility periods in both programme and partner countries
Inclusiveness & Individual Needs of Students
Inclusivity and equal access for participants with diverse needs are paramount for the success of the MemBioMed programme. We are committed to a broad, ambitious and innovative approach to equal opportunities with the aim of identifying any sexual discrimination, tackling sexist behaviour, sexual harassment and violence and promote equal opportunities for students of all genders from any oringin within the programme. For example, MemBioMed programme is aware of gender gap in biophysics (physics having one of the largest gender gaps in science), therefore, special care will be taken to include women in the cohorts, this politics being implemented throughout the programme. MemBioMed gender equality strategy will be, (1) to be responsible for promoting and overseeing the gender equality, (2) to ensure a balanced representation of female/male in the planned knowledge exchange flow between the partners, (3) to ensure equality and avoid bias in student recruitment (4) to ensure that females have the same chance as male team members to participate in secondments/work supervision and provided/received training activities/benefits, and (5) to encourage the talented female scientists to represent the project in formal events.
These values are priorities in each of the partner institutions, as the information available on the following links attests:
