Erasmus Mundus imAGEin welcomes its second cohort during its 2026 Welcome Week

The Erasmus Mundus imAGEin programme welcomes its second cohort during its Welcome Week, taking place from 2 to 4 September 2026 in Antibes.

The Erasmus Mundus Joint Master imAGEin – International Master on the Biology of Ageing is organising its second Welcome Week, an orientation and integration event for the 2026-2028 cohort ahead of the start of their first year of the Master’s programme at one of the universities within the consortium.

Selected from several hundred international applications, 30 students from 16 countries are joining this new cohort to embark on a two-year international journey in life sciences, specialising in the biology of ageing. This international diversity is one of the programme’s greatest strengths, providing a unique environment for scientific, cultural and personal exchange.

Held in Antibes from 2 to 4 September, the Welcome Week will give students the opportunity to discover their academic environment, meet the coordinators and representatives of the five partner universities — Université Côte d’Azur, Universidade de CoimbraUniversity of CologneUniversidad de Sevilla and Sciences Sorbonne Université  — and gain a better understanding of the different stages of their journey within the programme.

The programme includes presentations on the Master’s programme and its organisation, discussions with the coordinators, interactive workshops, practical advice on university life and mobility, discovery activities and opportunities for informal exchange.

Students from the first cohort (2025-2027), who are beginning their second year of the programme, will also play an active role in the Welcome Week. They will help welcome the new cohort by sharing their experience and advice on the different stages of the programme, mobility opportunities and student life within imAGEin.

This year’s edition is particularly special as it will take place alongside the Summer School of the 2025-2027 cohort. The two cohorts will therefore be together in Antibes for three days, giving the new students the opportunity to meet their peers from the first cohort and discover the programme through their experience.
